Customers sometimes ask why both MPN3229 and MPN3257 reference the same Thermo King® number 98-9070. The short answer is that MPN3229 is the universal replacement for all related Thermo King® numbers and is the only panel that Myriad supplies for this application.

MPN3229 is the current and fully supported panel control box. It includes an additional fitting that allows it to replace multiple Thermo King® part numbers without modification.

This means MPN3229 fits all applications that previously used MPN3257.
MPN3257
Status: Discontinued
MPN3257 was an older version of the control box panel. Myriad no longer supplies this product.
Although it referenced Thermo King® number 98-9070, it did not include the additional fitting found on MPN3229. For this reason, MPN3229 has become the single solution for all compatible units.
Summary
If a customer asks which control box panel they should order, the answer is simple. MPN3229 is the correct and universal replacement for all three Thermo King® numbers, 98-9070, 98-7913 and 98-8512.
